What to expect at our new craft café
A new creative experience is now open at Wymondham Windmill near Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire.
The Makers Millhouse has opened our doors to our new craft cafe experience. With an ever changing menu of crafts for all ages (both adults and kids!) you can come and get creative in a relaxing environment and enjoy some delicious drinks and treats from the Wymondham Windmill Tea Room. Looking to join us for a visit but unsure how it works? Here's everything you need to know.
Step 1: Book a table
We recommend booking a table before your visit to guarantee availability, and you can do this easily using our online reservation tool. We do also take walk-ins subject to availability.
Step 2: Browse the menu
When you arrive we will seat you at your table and show you our current menu. We have something for everyone from crafts for both kids and adults. From painting to crafting, our menu is updated regularly, with new specials every month to make sure you can try something different with every visit.
Step 3: Place your order
Once you've chosen what you'd like to create, simply order at the counter and we then bring them to the table for you to start getting creative. We will also show you where you can find aprons and wash your hands when you're finished.
Step 4: Enjoy drinks & treats
You can also order a selection of drinks and treats from the Wymondham Windmill Tea Room to enjoy at your table during your visit. Simply browse the menu on the table and place your order at the studio counter and we will have your drinks delivered to you as soon as they are ready.
Step 5: Get creative!
There is no experience needed for any of our crafts, and the studio is designed to be a pressure free environment to help get you feeling creative and enable you to try something new. At the end of your session, you are welcome to leave your makes to dry in the studio whilst you continue to explore the rest of what Wymondham Windmill has to offer, such as a delicious meal in the tea room, browsing the independent shops, and exploring the play area and woodland walk. Once you are finished, simply pop back to the studio where your finished makes will be bagged ready to take home.
