Terms of Service.

Studio Experience Terms

SECTION 1: STUDIO ACTIVITIES, MATERIALS AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS

All activities within The Makers Millhouse involve the use of creative materials, including but not limited to acrylic paints, inks, glues, and other craft supplies.

We use artist quality materials to ensure the best possible creative experience and results. Some of these materials, particularly acrylic paints, may stain clothing or personal belongings.

Aprons are provided for use within the studio, and we strongly recommend that guests wear an apron or suitable clothing when participating in any activity.

While we take reasonable care to minimise mess and provide protective equipment, we cannot accept responsibility for any staining, damage, or loss of personal clothing or belongings that may occur during your visit.

If staining does occur, we recommend washing affected items as soon as possible in accordance with the garment care instructions.

SECTION 2: BOOKINGS, WALK-INS AND TABLE HOLDING

All bookings, including walk-in seating, are subject to availability.

For pre-booked sessions, we will hold your table for 15 minutes from the scheduled booking time. If you do not arrive within this time, we reserve the right to release your table and offer it to other guests.

We operate both pre-booked and walk-in availability. Walk-in guests are welcome, however seating cannot be guaranteed during busy periods.

SECTION 3: PARTIES AND PRIVATE HIRE BOOKINGS

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your party or private hire booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received.

Final guest numbers and full payment are required no later than 2 weeks before the event date.

Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before the event date:

The £50 deposit is non-refundable
The booking may be cancelled, or transferred to an alternative date subject to availability.

Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the event date:

Full payment is required and no refunds will be issued.
Transfers may be offered at our discretion, subject to availability

Any requests to reduce guest numbers after the 2 week cut-off will not reduce the total amount payable.

We will always do our best to accommodate increases in guest numbers where possible, subject to space and availability.

We reserve the right to cancel or amend a booking in exceptional circumstances. In this instance, the choice of a full refund or alternative date will be offered.

SECTION 4: WORKSHOP BOOKINGS

Workshops are confirmed upon booking and subject to availability.

Cancellations:

  • More than 2 weeks before: transfer, credit or refund available
  • Less than 2 weeks before: non-refundable and non-transferable

Places may be transferred to another person if notified in advance.

External workshop providers using our studio operate under their own terms and we are not responsible for their cancellations or refund policies.

We may cancel or reschedule workshops due to low numbers or unforeseen circumstances. In this case, a transfer, credit or refund will be offered.

Workshops may have a minimum number requirement to run.

Some workshops have a minimum age due to health and safety which is made clear on the booking pages. If on arrival these requirements are not met we have the right to refuse participation. In these circumstances, no refund will be provided.

SECTION 4: CRAFTERNOON TEA BOOKINGS

Crafternoon Tea combines a crafting session at The Makers Millhouse with Afternoon Tea provided by Wymondham Windmill Tea Room.

Afternoon Tea & Dietary Requirements
All Afternoon Tea bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance by emailing hello@makersmillhouse.co.uk and are not confirmed until payment in full has been received. Final guest numbers and any dietary requirements or allergies must also be provided no later than 48 hours before your booking.

The food and drink included within Crafternoon Tea is prepared and supplied by Wymondham Windmill Tea Room. The Makers Millhouse does not prepare or handle the Afternoon Tea and cannot accept responsibility for the preparation, ingredients, allergen management or service of food and drink provided by the Tea Room.

Please make us aware of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking so these can be passed on to the Tea Room. While every effort will be made to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee that all requirements can be catered for.

Menu & Availability
Afternoon Tea menus, ingredients and individual items may occasionally change depending on availability or changes made by Wymondham Windmill Tea Room. Images and menu descriptions are therefore provided as a guide and substitutions may be made where necessary.

As the food and drink element is provided by a separate business, The Makers Millhouse cannot guarantee the continued availability of particular menu items or be held responsible for changes made by the Tea Room to its menu or service.

Cancellations & Changes
Cancellations or reductions in guest numbers must be made more than 48 hours before your booking.

Cancellations, reductions in numbers or changes made within 48 hours of the booking are non-refundable, as the Afternoon Tea will already have been ordered and prepared for the confirmed number of guests.

Requests to change the date of a booking are subject to availability and must also be made more than 48 hours in advance.

If The Makers Millhouse or Wymondham Windmill Tea Room needs to cancel your Crafternoon Tea and an alternative date cannot be agreed, you will receive a refund for the affected part of your booking.

Crafts during crafternoon tea experiences
Unless specifically stated otherwise, the cost of Crafternoon Tea does not include your chosen crafts. Crafts are selected and paid for separately from The Makers Millhouse Craft Café menu.

Your Crafternoon Tea booking includes an additional 30 minutes of table time to allow you to enjoy your Afternoon Tea alongside your crafting session.

By booking a Crafternoon Tea, you agree to these terms and conditions alongside The Makers Millhouse's general booking terms and conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected.

SECTION 5: COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING
