Come and explore our free Mystery Makers Trail
Simply pick up your free creative trail pack at the studio and solve the clues around the Wymondham Windmill site to unlock The Makers Treasure Chest. This is a completely free activity for all visitors. Each child will receive a free certificate and sticker on completion of the trail.
Available Wednesday - Saturday 10am - 3pm during 1 - 31st August 2026. No booking required, however if you would also like to book into the craft cafe during your visit we recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Win a free craft with our golden tickets.
Each week during August, one golden ticket will be hidden around the Wymondham Windmill site. If you are the lucky person to find it, simply bring the ticket into the studio to claim a voucher to use for a free craft of your choice (up to £20 value).
We will announce on social media when each weeks ticket has been found.

Book a visit to the Craft Cafe
Come and join us this Summer and discover our new craft menu. From painting to crafts, we have activities for all ages and abilities (yes even adults too). Simply book your table online using our free reservation system, pick your chosen craft of the menu on your visit and then enjoy getting creative in a pressure free and relaxed environment. Plus you can also enjoy delicious drinks and treats from the Wymondham Windmill tea room in the studio whilst you create.

Wondering what else there is to do during your visit to the studio? Wymondham Windmill has so much on offer meaning you can make your visit a day out to remember, whether it's climbing the 210 year old windmill, enjoying the play area, exploring the woodland, browsing the on-site shops or grabbing a bite to eat in the tea room. Wymondham Windmill is also home to Rutland Outdoor Pursuits who provide a host of outdoor activities including falconry, clay shooting and archery (pre-booking required). Plus there is free car parking for all visitors.

Attended for a session in the Easter holidays with my 6 year old, lovely selection of things to make and decorate and beautiful venue. Also was able to order drinks (food also available) from the windmill cafe. We both had a lovely time and will definitely come again!
