Join Jenni, professional calligraphy artist and owner of The Makers Millhouse, for a relaxed and festive workshop where you’ll learn how to create beautiful personalised Christmas bauble using simple calligraphy and hand-lettering techniques.
Perfect for complete beginners, you’ll start by learning the basics of faux calligraphy, an easy and accessible way to create the look of modern calligraphy without needing to master a traditional brush pen. You’ll practise forming letters, names and festive words before learning how to transfer your designs onto a bauble and work confidently on a curved surface.
Jenni will take you through the process step by step, sharing plenty of tips for planning your lettering, positioning your design and creating a beautiful finished result. There will also be lots of inspiration to help you personalise your bauble with a name or festive word. You can also finish off the bauble with hand-painted designs of your choice.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your own beautifully personalised Christmas bauble, ready to hang on your tree or give as a thoughtful handmade gift.
All materials are included and no previous calligraphy or lettering experience is needed. Simply come along, get creative and enjoy a wonderfully festive few hours of making!
