Ever wanted to learn calligraphy? Start learning now in preparation for Christmas! Come and join Jenni, professional calligraphy artist and owner of The Makers Millhouse for a relaxing and informal workshop where you will learn all the essentials of getting started with calligraphy using a brush pen to make your own autumn inspired hand lettered prints and cards.
During this 2-2.5 hour workshop you will learn all the basics of brush calligraphy, from holding the brush pen, creating the foundation strokes, building lowercase and uppercase letters to joining them together to write words and phrases. By the end of the session you will take away your own brush lettered autumn inspired print and card, as well as all the knowledge you have learnt so that you can keep practicing and lettering at home.
During the full session, Jenni will be on hand to guide you through the steps with hands on demonstrations and instruction, as well as provide 1:1 support to anyone that needs it along the way. All materials are supplied during this workshop including a brush pen that you can take home at the end of the session.
