Something spooky is coming to The Makers Millhouse this Halloween...
Join us for a one-day Spooktacular Halloween event filled with creepy crafts, mysterious adventures and plenty of family-friendly Halloween fun. Whether you’re coming to get creative in the Craft Café or heading out to explore the Windmill site, there’ll be lots to discover.
Halloween Craft Café
Our Craft Café will be getting a spooky makeover for the day, with a special Halloween-only craft menu packed with creepy creations for children and grown-ups to make. Book your table, choose your craft when you arrive and get creative together. As always, our crafts are designed to be relaxed and self-guided, with help available if you need it. No tricks, just lots of creative treats!
The Great Ghost Hunt
Boo, our friendly resident ghost, has been playing a few too many tricks on her spooky friends. So they've decided to play a trick of their own... and locked her inside a cage!
Her friends have hidden 8 secret numbers around the Windmill grounds, and together they make the code to unlock Boo's cage.
Can you crack the code, unlock the cage and set Boo free?
Pick up your FREE Halloween trail leaflet from The Makers Millhouse.
The trail is completely free to take part in and is available for one day only. Last entry 3pm.
More spooky fun
Halloween costumes are very welcome, whether you arrive as a witch, wizard, ghost, monster or something altogether less spooky! More details on additional activities will be coming very soon.
The event is designed to be family-friendly rather than frightening, so younger children can join in the fun too.
You’re welcome to visit just for the free trail, but if you’d like to craft with us too, we recommend booking a table in advance as Halloween is expected to be a busy one.

Attended for a session in the Easter holidays with my 6 year old, lovely selection of things to make and decorate and beautiful venue. Also was able to order drinks (food also available) from the windmill cafe. We both had a lovely time and will definitely come again!
